The Combined Federal Fund, CFC, is a group of 501C3 corporations who meet strict requirements of integrity and proper business practice and have been approved by the Federal Government to be placed on a list of charities to which the 4 million US Federal Government Employees are encouraged to donate each year.
In 2015, Dr. Keith Snail, a friend of African PTSD Relief, told us about the possibility of applying to join this single charity opportunity for US Government employees. We applied in January and received an acceptance in mid-April for the 2016 donations drive. Not only will all of the Federal Employees receive PTSD Relief Now and its African PTSD Relief projects as a donation opportunity, but African PTSD Relief will now be invited to Charity Fairs, opportunities to give presentations to various divisions of the US Government I the National Capital Area. In these Charity Fairs, held in the fall of 2016, we will explain our research, show videos of the great relief victims are receiving, and also perhaps inspire collaboration with divisions of the US Government for PTSD Relief aid to Africa.
We are told that if a department invites African PTSD Relief/PTSD Relief Now to their charity fair, we will have an increased chance of participating in that charity fair. If you work in a division of the US Government in the National Capital Area (around Washington DC) or have friends who do, please email contact@africanptsdrelief.org so we can plan for a presentation together.

Dear David Shapiro :

I am pleased to inform you that your organization has been found eligible for inclusion in the 2016 Combined Federal Campaign of National Capital Area (CFCNCA).  Your organization will appear in the print listing of participating organizations and in the online “Universal Giving” list available to Federal employees throughout the United States and overseas.  Since you are a new organization to the campaign, the Office of Personnel Management will assign a designation code via their charity registry system.  Our goal is to provide your code to you in May.  If there is a delay, you will be notified via e-mail.
The contact information included with your application will be used throughout the year to transmit information such as campaign updates, charity fair registration, disbursement of contributions, and the 2017 application process.  If your information changes at any point in the year, please notify Tyra Archer, Manager of Charity Relations.  Please contact her at Tyra.Archer@cfcnca.org or 202-465-7241.
You must re-apply each year in order to participate in the Combined Federal Campaign.  It is anticipated that there may be changes to the application process for the 2017 campaign, including the deadline.  Additional information will be distributed throughout the year to the contact information you have provided.
Thank you for your participation in the Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area.  Our theme for the 2016 Campaign is “Show Some Love.”  We are going to use this theme to demonstration of employees and others in our community can contribute to improving the lives of others and making our communities stronger and more vibrant.  Hopefully, this opportunity will allow you to reach Federal employees in our region to demonstrate how you “Show Some Love.”
Sincerely,

Vincent N. Micone, III
