Rees, O’Connell and Leffler recommended that evidence-based solutions should be employed, cited the pilot studies that show rapid reduction of PTSD in Veterans using TM and the two pilot studies published on TM on Congolese civilian refugee showing 90% became non-symptomatic within 30 days of TM practice. They concluded that such evidence -based programs should be further researched and also implemented to help the 20% of US Veterans with PTSD to come more quickly out of this mental prison, to reduce the 22 suicides by US veterans each day and to help 100 million Africans and peoples around the world plagued by PTSD return to a happy and productive lives.
